2 Casual Medical Reception Roles – Multiple Auckland Locations (1 covering St John’s & Howick, 1 covering North Shore & Ponsonby)

Auckland Radiology is part of the RHCNZ Medical Imaging Group – New Zealand’s largest private radiology provider, dedicated to making world-class radiology services accessible to our local communities. Proudly supported by our shareholding radiologists, our nationwide network of 73+ clinics employs more than 1200 staff, including more than 140 specialist radiologists across our three iconic brands, Auckland Radiology, Bay Radiology and Pacific Radiology.

About this role:
  • These are casual positions with no guaranteed number of hours
  • You will work on a casual “as and when required” basis to cover planned and unplanned leave, as well as some later shifts (generally between 4pm–7pm)
  • While you will generally receive reasonable notice of shifts and can choose to accept or decline them, flexibility to cover shifts at short notice is often required
  • Our hours are between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to work on a casual basis across multiple Auckland locations. You will cover staff absences Monday to Friday and may at times be required full-time for short periods (e.g. 1–2 weeks) to cover leave. This is a rewarding front-line service role that can be challenging at times. The ability to be flexible and use your own transport is essential. Our branches provide a range of medical imaging services including Ultrasound, MRI, CT, X-Ray and interventional procedures (e.g. biopsy), depending on location.

As a primary contact for our patients, you will be expected to deliver a professional service with a strong focus on customer care.

Ideal Skills and Experience:
  • Radiology administration and/or medical reception experience (preferred, but not essential)
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Fantastic communication skills and sound judgement, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
About You:
  • You will have an excellent, professional phone manner and communication skills, with the ability to build empathy and rapport with patients and referrers quickly (referrers being medical specialists, GPs, Physiotherapists, etc.)
  • You will be a team player
  • You will have a strong customer focus with both patients and referrers – knowing when to listen, asking the right questions, and sourcing further insight when needed
  • You will be open to learning new systems, be coachable, and confident in asking questions when needed
  • You will be able to work flexibly, including availability at short notice
If you believe you have these attributes, have total flexibility, and would like to be part of a team dedicated to providing imaging services in an innovative, caring and ethical way, then we would love to hear from you.
